2024 Meeting Agenda

September 13: The highlight of our September meeting will be the show and tell of everything our members have been working on during our summer break. In addition, we will hear from our new board and committee members, meet our new guild members, vote on changes to our bylaws, and learn more about the 2025 Quilt Show. There may be a few surprise fun activities as well.

October 11: October 11: Our October speaker will be Ann Holte who will speak on Quilts that Honor Family, Friends and Freedom.

After our business meeting, Ann may do a workshop on the Lancaster Diamond Quilt. (Details to follow.) Below are some examples of the Lancaster Diamond Quilt. There are 173 different Lancaster Diamond blocks!)

November 8: Mary Koval will present a lecture and trunk show on “How Mary Designs Fabric”.

After more than 40 years, Mary Koval has emerged as a leading expert in the field of American Quilts and Antique Fabric. Mary and her husband, Joe, live in Bedford PA. She exhibits in major antique and quilt shows and has published several books and contributing articles to Country Home, Quiltmania, Quilters World, Love of Quilting and many more. She has also designed fabrics for Timeless Treasures and Free Spirit. She presently designs for Windham fabrics.

HCQ Library – HCQ has an extensive library of books and magazines. Members may check them out of the library during any meeting in the Walnut Room. Accuquilt/Templates – This is a list of accquilt dies and piecing templates/rulers that members of the HCQ Guild are willing to lend to other members of the HCQ Guild.
